Description (ECB)

The central motif on the design is the Pula's Arena (the amphitheatre), one among the most prominent ancient monuments in the Republic of Croatia, shown from the view of the Adriatic Sea depicted below the central motif to highlight the distinctly Mediterranean attribute of Croatia. On the right side of the Arena there is an image of the church of St. Anthony built in the 1930s, which is part of the panoramic view of the City of Pula. The coin also features the inscriptions of the issuing country "HRVATSKA" (Croatia), the year of issuance "2025." and the words "GRAD PULA-ARENA" (City of Pula-Arena), which are all inscribed circularly along the edge of the coin's core. The national side of the coin is designed by sculptor Duje Botteri. The coin’s outer ring bears the 12 stars of the European flag.
